Celem Programu jest rozwój umiędzynarodowienia instytucji szkolnictwa wyższego i nauki poprzez wspieranie tworzenia i realizacji międzynarodowych programów studiów. Będziemy realizować ten cel w ramach projektu Realizacja międzynarodowego programu studiów Una Europa Joint Bachelor in Sustainability (BPI/KAT/2024/1/00020), którego harmonogram znajduje się poniżej. Wysokość otrzymanego finansowania projektu to 1.499.850,00 zł. Program jest finansowany środków europejskich z Funduszu Europejskiego dla Rozwoju Społecznego 2021-2027 (FERS), Projekt NAWA pt. „Wsparcie tworzenia i realizacji międzynarodowych programów kształcenia”, nr projektu FERS.01.05-IP.08-0436/23 (Projekty FERS).

The aim of the Program is to develop the internationalization of higher education and science institutions by supporting the creation and implementation of international study programs. We will pursue this goal within the project Effectuation of the international study programme Una Europa Joint Bachelor in Sustainability (BPI/KAT/2024/1/00020), the schedule of which is attached below. The amount of funding received for this specific project is PLN 1,499,850.00. The Program is financed from European funds from the European Fund for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS), NAWA Project entitled "Support for the creation and implementation of international education programs", project number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0436/23 (FERS Projects).

About the Project

Implementation of the international study programme “Una Europa Joint Bachelor in Sustainability”

The project “Implementation of the international study programme Una Europa Joint Bachelor in Sustainability” is implemented by Jagiellonian University in Kraków under the programme KATAMARAN – creating and implementing international study programmes, funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) from the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027.

The project is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Poland.

Project objectives

The main objective of the project is to support the implementation of an international bachelor’s degree programme in sustainability and to strengthen the competences of students and academic staff in an international academic environment.

The project contributes to the internationalisation of higher education through:

• promoting international student mobility,

• supporting student research projects,

• enhancing the teaching competences of academic staff,

• further developing a joint international study programme delivered by partner universities.

Key activities

Programme supporting student research development and mobility

One of the main activities of the project is a programme designed to support the academic development and international mobility of students.

Within this programme, students participate in individual or group research projects related to sustainability. The projects are carried out under the supervision of academic staff and lead to the preparation of short scientific texts while strengthening students’ research and analytical skills.

Support for the academic teaching staff

The project also includes the establishment of a team of specialists supporting the academic staff involved in delivering the international study programme.

These activities include:

• identifying the training needs of teaching staff,

• organising training sessions for lecturers,

• preparing guidelines and good practice handbooks,

• creating an online helpdesk for academic staff.

Current status of the Project

According to the progress report covering the period 1 September 2025 – 28 February 2026, preparatory work for the student support programme has already begun.

In particular:

• consultations with representatives of partner universities have been conducted to determine the most appropriate form of student support,

• a draft of the scholarship programme regulations has been prepared,

• the regulations are currently being reviewed for compliance with funding rules and institutional regulations,

• an information meeting for students explaining the programme and answering questions has been scheduled.

So far, the activities carried out have been organisational and preparatory in nature and have not generated project costs.

Expected results

The project is expected to contribute to:

• increased student participation in an international study programme,

• improved research and academic competences of students,

• enhanced international mobility opportunities,

• preparation of student scientific texts,

• improved teaching competences of academic staff,

• further development of a joint international degree programme implemented by partner universities.
